2022 Jet Rally
This Years Jet Rally was very successful. The weather was a bit overcast but did not stop the over 30 pilots from flying. We even had a group of full size aircraft do a flyover and landings at the airport. This year the Saturday night dinner was held right near the landing strip.

In the beginning
Our club was established in 1971 and we built our field on Rough and Ready Island through help from the United States Navy. Unfortunately, the land was returned to the Port of Stockton and we had to leave our field. Our second field was built on farm land east of highway 99 with the help of one of our members. Some time later that land was returned to farming so we again were in search of a new place to fly.
Currently are members are flying at Kingdon AirPark 12145 Devries Rd, Lodi CA.
Meeting schedul change.
At the last Monday night meeting it was voted on and passed to have our meetings quarterly instead of every month.

Drone Registration
If you were a good boy this year and received a new drone for Christmas then you might want to register it with the FAA. Use this link to the FAA web site to register (still only $5) and other information on how to fly safely. https://www.faa.gov/uas/recreational_fliers/

War bird turn out
Very nice turnout for our War Bird event. We had a total of 24 pilots sign-up. Lots of good flying with many jets.
Our AMA district 10 representative Lawrence Tougas stopped by, took some pictures, and did some interviews. We need to send him a personal invite to our Jet Rally. It would certainly help our events if we could make the AMA magazine.

Message from DVM Secretary
Vietnam Helicopter Pilots honored
During Veteran’s Day ceremonies, this past weekend, the crew of the Vietnam Helicopter Pilots Association-California Chapter North, were presented with these honor quilts. They were made by a group of quilters from the Woodward, CA area, of which the wife of one of our crew is a member. Each one is different and authentic, with our names and presentation date, as well as the name of the woman who made it.
